In this section you will find standard ambient-sensing thermostats like the Raychem AMC-F5, which is typically used on short freeze protection heating cable circuits. You will also find more advanced controls like the MoniTrace 1000 which not only controls ON/OFF but monitors the system performance and checks the system functions every day of the year (even in the middle of July) to be sure it will be operational when it is needed.
Also available are control packages that can reliably discriminate between cold weather and conditions that would allow the formation of ice. These systems only power up when needed instead of every minute that ambient temperatures are within the freezing range.
